1. What are cookies and the Pixel ID Facebook tool

Cookies are fragments of text sent to the user by the website visited. They are memorised on the computer’s hard disk, thus allowing the website to recognise users and memorise certain information on them in order to allow for or improve the service offered.

There are different types of cookies. Some you need to be able to browse the website, others have different purposes like guaranteeing internal security, administrating the system, performing statistical analyses, understanding which sections of the website are most interesting to users, or offering a personalised view of the website.

This site uses technical and profiling cookies, first and third parties, for marketing purposes and PayPal cookies. The above refers to the user’s computer and any other device that the user might use to connect to the website.

Specifically, our cookies and the Pixel ID Facebook tracking tool allow you to:

  • memorise preferences;
  • avoid reentering the same information more than once during the visit, like for example username and password;
  • analyse the use of services and content provided by the website to optimise the navigation experience and services offered;
  • recognise users who have accessed the site and the Facebook platform (Pixel ID Facebook tracking tool, more detailed in par. 5);
  • carry out online payments (PayPal cookies).

We reserve the right to change this policy at any time.

Any change to this policy shall go into effect as of the date of posting on the website.

1.1. How do I give my consent to accept cookies and Pixel ID Facebook

As for technical cookies, you give your consent by closing the information banner shown on the first visit to the site.

With regard to first-party and third-party profiling cookies also for marketing purposes and the Pixel ID Facebook tracking tool, as well as for PayPal cookies useful for making online payments, you only give your consent by clicking the "accept” present in the banner and in the cookie setting window.

1.2. How to disable and change cookie preferences

Most browsers automatically accept technical cookies, but the user can usually change the settings to disable this function as well.

In any case, you can block all types of cookies or agree to receive just a few and disable others. The "Options" or "Preferences" sections in the browser menu allow you to avoid receiving cookies and other user tracking technologies, and how to get notification from the browser of the activation of these technologies.

Alternatively, you can also consult the “Help” section on the toolbar present in most browsers.

You can also select the browser that uses the list below and follow the instructions:

From a mobile device:

For more information on cookies and to manage preferences for cookies (first and/or third-party) users can also go on the platform www.youronlinechoices.com. However, remember that disabling navigation cookies or functional cookies can cause malfunction of the website and/or limit the service offered.

2. Technical cookies

Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of transmitting a communication over a network of electronic communication, or to the extent strictly necessary to a service provider of the IT company, explicitly required of the license holder or the user to provide such service.

They are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the website owner or manager.

They can be divided up into navigation cookies or session cookies, which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website (for example allowing you to make a purchase or login to access the reserved areas).

The website’s technical cookies are:

- Session cookies

These are used to manage login and access to the website’s reserved functions. Deactivating them compromises use of the services accessed by login.

3. First-party profiling cookies

The website uses the following first-party profiling cookies:

These cookies are only installed with your permission and consent and you can always disabled cookies as mentioned before.

4. Third-party cookies

This site plays the role of intermediary with regard to third-party cookies and has no control over these cookies, which are used to:

  • acquire statistical information on the use of the site (Google Analytics);
  • record and produce reports on user actions, with prior consent (Google ADS).

These cookies are installed only with your authorisation and consent from the user and can always be disabled as explained below.

4.1. Google Analytics data

Google Analytics data is acquired through a code entered on the site where the anonymisation of IP addresses is preset.

This anonymous data (example; number of visits, list of the most visited pages, average time of visit) and collected in aggregate form through an administration panel is used by site analysts, at the request of the owner, in order to study new features of the site itself and improve navigability and its user experience.

The data is transmitted and stored on Google's servers in the United States and is stored for a period of 26 months.

Information on the use, purposes and deactivation of these cookies is provided directly by third parties and can be consulted at the following links: https://policies.google.com/privacy

4.2. Google ADS cookies (from third parties for marketing purposes)

Google ADS cookies are used to display interesting ads for users, to improve campaign performance reports and to prevent a user from seeing the same ads multiple times.

Through a cookie ID, Google records which ads are published on which browser and can thus prevent them from being displayed several times; moreover, the Google ADS cookies are able to record the cd. Conversion, which refers to the calls of a particular advertisement even if according to Google, Google ADS cookies do not contain information relating to natural persons.

Based on the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server.

The owner, in any case, has no influence on the extent of the collection and the consequent use of the data acquired by Google through these tools, being able only to report that through the integration of Google ADS, Google receives information about the fact that the user has called up the corresponding part of this site or has clicked on an advertisement.

If the user is registered with a Google service, the latter can associate the visit to the user's account.

In any case, even if the user is not registered to any Google service and has not logged in, there is still the possibility that the supplier will be aware of and save the user's IP address.

It is possible to avoid participating in this tracking procedure in several ways:

  • through a specific setting of your browser, the blocking of third-party cookies consisting in particular that you do not receive advertisements from third-party suppliers;
  • disabling cookies for conversion tracking, setting your browser to block domain cookies www.googleadservices.com

(https://www.marketingplatform.google.com, even if this setting is cleared when you delete your cookies);

  • by deactivating the advertisements of the suppliers relating to interests, which are part of the "About Ads" self-regulation campaign through the link http://www.aboutads.info/choices (even if this setting is cleared when you delete your cookies);
  • through permanent deactivation on Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome browsers at the link http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.

You can find further information on data protection in general by Google at the following address: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

PayPal cookies allow the user to make online payments and prior consent is required for their use.
